Conduit Sweet XVI Birthday:
A Cocktail Party & Benefit Performance (+ raffle & silent auction)
June 24 @ 7:30 PM

Ticket/Donation: $20-$100, BrownPaperTickets.com

Conduit Dance, an independent nonprofit organization, invites you to join us on June 24th for a sweet 16 cocktail party, raffle and spontaneous performances by Portland dance makers, musicians, and artists who perform in support of Conduit! (See below for list of great prizes you can win!)

Join us on June 24th to celebrate the vibrancy and achievement of Portland's lively dance community. We are raising funds to help support our mission of advancing contemporary dance, which includes the development and creation of new work, providing a vital performance forum for the community, and offering professional training for dancers of all abilities.

Growing our ability to carry out our mission is important to Conduit. In the last year alone we brought on new board members, improved access for artists, and expanded staff. In looking toward the future we are in the process of initiating new programs, exploring partnerships, and continuing recruitment efforts for both Board and staff. As Bob Hicks recently noted in his review of TopShakeDance, "Conduit, for all its tininess, remains a crucial player on the Portland dance scene."

Dancers donating their talents in support of Conduit include Gavin Larsen, former principal soloist with the Oregon Ballet Theater, Gregg Bielemeier, TopShakeDance's Jim McGinn, Mizu Dezierto of Water in the Desert, Katherine Longstreth, Ten Tiny Dance producer/performer Mike Barber, Lucy Yim, Tracy Broyles, Linda Austin, Tere Mathern, Vanessa Vogel, and a special performance by Vox: a spoken chorus.

With your help, we can continue to support great contemporary dance in Portland!
