Conduit Welcomes Rick Parfrey!

Conduit is pleased to welcome Rick Parfrey to our Board of Directors.

Rick is a retired design architect who specialized in institutional, corporate, and biopharmaceutical research facilities. He was the recipient of local, state and national design awards and cultivated special interests in the areas of behavioral science, ergonomics, universal design, organizational management and strategic planning.

He has served on both for-profit and nonprofit boards and has been active in numerous civic activities. His personal interests include classical music, ballet, modern dance, opera, art, and travel. Rick will be working closely with Conduit's volunteers, so be sure to introduce youself when you see him at our events!

We have some GOOD and some GREAT news to share!

The GOOD news is that with the support of people like you Conduit Dance continues to make an important difference to Portland's dance community and its audiences.

The GREAT news is that Conduit is looking forward to expanding our programming to include a new curated performance series, a lab artist (residency-like) program, and a program of social forums for artists and enthusiasts to connect.

To accomplish these exciting plans we're going to need your help! We would love for you to join us in this exciting journey by volunteering, making a monetary or an in-kind donation.

And just so you don't think we've been resting on our laurels all year, here's a sample of what's been on at the studio: 2010 year in review.
