Performance At Conduit Dance

Conduit Dance provides an impressive yet affordable downtown venue where individual artists and dance companies can present their work. View current and upcoming workshops and events at Conduit. Conduit also produces and presents cutting-edge, emerging, and non-mainstream dance works under performance programs such Dance+, Sea/Port, and our Guest Artist Series.

Independently-Produced Performance

Conduit's performance space is available for rental by self-producing, independent artists. Since 1995, Conduit has been home to Portland's contemporary dance scene and a central hub for artists making and presenting their work. Our high-ceilinged, well-windowed, clear span, and fully-equipped studio/performance venue offers artists an expansive yet intimate context to connect with audiences and our city. Centrally located adjacent Portland’s Cultural District, Conduit is accessible by bike, bus, and light rail and has reasonably-priced parking across the street.

Conduit's reputation and historical presence as a site that features contemporary dance provides noteworthy and relevant visibility for your work. Because Conduit keeps rental fees for artists low, it is one of the most affordable, flexible, and dance-friendly venues in the city, connecting renters with technical crew, mailing lists, and advice on how to successfully produce your event in Portland.

Amenities include:

  • •   Full lighting and sound system
  • •   Risers and up to 100 chairs with flexible seating arrangements for alternative performances
  • •   Black out capability; optional muslin backdrop and wing curtains
